There are a lot of people who find Borat to be extremely offensive and it is coming out that the people that he used in his movies are coming forward to say that Borat cheated and humiliated and got them fired from jobs. All and all may be true, he has also offended the President of the United States and has angered the President of Kazakhstan.
The problem is that the people who find him offensive and rude and talk or write about him constantly, this gives him more attention. More people may go see the movie just to see what all of the fuss is about. That makes him more money and it fuels the fire as well.
If enough people see the movie and the name Borat just grows bigger and bigger then there is going to be a backlash of Borat. More and more people are going to talk to him; he is going to get more TV spots.
The media attention he is getting only gets bigger and bigger.
His star would fade faster if he was called offensive, rude and juvenile and people left it at that. There will be more lawsuits to follow and the more they are maybe the will think twice before they start filming a Borat 2, the sequel
